Day's End
- Sunshine fades in the distance,
- No longer does it warm my face,
- Shadows in my mind disappear,
- As darkness takes their place.
-
- A cool Spring breeze comes to me,
- As I search a million points of light,
- Looking for that special star,
- To guide me through the night.
-
- A northern star twinkles down,
- So far, but yet still so near,
- I sigh a sigh of loneliness,
- But there's no one near to hear.
-
- My thoughts turn to the future,
- And all that it might bring,
- Sleep comes so easily tonight,
- With a dream to which I'll cling.
