Escape From Life
- If I could strike out on my own
- and travel this great land,
- to spend my life worry free,
- to drift would be so grand.
-
- To live upon the landscape,
- or loose myself in time,
- to fade from daily business,
- would be a life sublime.
To make a quest on mountain tops,
or walk the grassy valley floor,
To float along on ocean waves,
I can dream of nothing more.
But the noise and grind and little things
have control of me it would seem,
so my escape from life will have to wait,
until night time when I dream.
