Hearts On Fire
- Once upon a heart so fair,
- There burned a love so strong and rare,
- From time to time its flames would rise,
- Visible through impassioned eyes.
- Then with time, the flames dropped low,
- Cooling to less than an ember's glow,
- Wonton stirrings produce a spark,
- Tho much too weak to pierce the dark.
- Sadly, time extracts it's toll,
- Piles of ashes, lumps of coal.
- Slowly burns the funeral pyre,
- Once the flames of hearts on fire.
