Parched

For too long my heart has thirsted
as though parched from desert air,
and only love can quench it's ache.
Then I found an oasis in you
and my soul has been refreshed.

Now I drink from your cup of love,
sipping slowly to savor it's sweetness,
yet drinking fully in my need.
No matter how much I drink from it,
your cup always remains full for me.

Sated from this cup you give,
I rejoice in the fullness of my heart,
celebrating it's renewal in love.
And with each drop which flows forth,
I return to drink again.
