The Tree Of Love
-
Its seed was planted long ago,
and has since grown so large.
Its roots run deep,
and it reaches higher and wider
with each passing day.
-
Its fruits are sweeter
than one can imagine.
It has withstood the tests of time,
weathered every storm,
and even survived disease.
-
Yes, there have been times of dormancy,
yet it still lives to bloom again.
Without it our world would be bare
and life itself would suffocate and die.
But it gives us what we need.
-
And we praise it for its beauty.
Sometimes tho, we take it for granted.
Even when it can be found in our own backyard,
we still look for it,
for this thing called love.
